For Brothers Zaldy Norba, SSS (Philippines), Ferdinand Tomo, SSS (Philippines), Paul Nguyen Van Dong, SSS (Vietnam), Hashendra Diroshana Perera, SSS (Sri Lanka), Anscar Lawrence Wijeratne, SSS (Sri Lanka), Anthony Marcus Fernando, SSS (Sri Lanka), John Christman, SSS (USA) and Anthony Marshall, SSS (USA), October 17, 2010 was a memorable day for them. It was on this day that they made their perpetual profession of vows of poverty, chastity and obendience in the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, founded in 1856 by Saint Peter Julian Eymard.
The solemn profession was presided by Fr. Fiorenzo Salvi, SSS, Superior-General of the congregation. He was assisted by his Vicar, Fr. Sabastian Luistro, SSS. The ceremony was held in St. Philip Neri Church, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The profession ceremony was the culmination of the three-month IP4 (International Preparation for Perpetual Profession Program) which was participated in by the eight SSS Scholastics. It started last July 15 at La Mure, France, the birthplace of St. Peter Julian Eymard.
To the eight newly perpetually professed Blessed Sacrament religious, our congratulations and prayers.
