The foundation of the first community was established in Leicester, England in 1935. The Dutch Province administered the community from 1935 until 1951. In 1951, the American Province of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament took over. Great Britain-Ireland became a region of the American Province in 1978. It was only in 1987 that it was granted the canonical status as a Province.
The following are the chronology of events of the foundation of the Province of Saints Peter and Paul (Great Britain and Ireland):
- Leiscester (1935) – Parish/ Novitiate. Handed back to the Diocese of Nottingham on September 27, 1990
- Wareside (1960) – House of Studies. It was closed on February 1, 1975.
- Dublin (1970) – opened the Shrine in D’Olier St. on January 6, 1970. In October 1, 1995, the Blessed Sacrament Chapel transferred its location to 20 Bachelors Walk.
- Liverpool (1971) – Shrine – Great Howard Street – 1971-1976
- Clayton Square – November 21, 1972 -1985
- Dawson Street – November 27, 1985 – to present
- Dublin 2 (1976) – Novitiate
- (1977) – Scholasticate
- Dublin 3 (1985/1990) – Scholasticate/Retired
- (1995) Closed
- Newscastle (1987) – Parish/Shrine/Hospital Chaplaincy – September 7th
- (2000) – Returned to the Diocese – October 27th
- Glasgow (1990) – St. Patrick’s Parish/Shrine – June 14th

- (1998) – Centre for Eucharistic Evangelization – Neilston
